Moat Farm is an old Suffolk farmhouse complete with horses, a family of ducks and converted Granary. Situated in a quiet village, 2 miles off the A140, it is close to all local attractions and the coast. The dining room has a roaring log fire during winter to welcome you to breakfast which is cooked on the Aga using local produce where possible. Our large varied menu is complimented by a full side table. In 2009 we were awarded a "Gold Award" from the E.E.T.B.for our bed and breakfast accommodation.
Bead and Breakfast: A spacious double room with en-suite shower room, sofa bed, TV, bathrobes and tea and coffee making facilities are all provided to make your stay as relaxing and pleasant as possible. Views of the moat and gardens from two windows give the room a light and country feel. Breakfast is served in the traditional farmhouse dining room complete with inglenook fireplace, which will have a roaring fire in winter to greet you. We hope the smell of freshly baked bread will entice you to eat our hearty breakfast which includes, locally sourced produce, eggs from our own chickens and a selection of cereals, yogurts, homemade jams and fruit. Complementing your breakfast are fresh juices, tea infusions, tea and fresh coffee.
Self Catering:
Manor Barn:
The self-catering barn, which sleeps 10, offers a spacious living / dining-room with an inglenook fire place, sandstone floor, cloakroom with wash basin and WC. A large French style door leads to the large parking area and lawns. On the first floor there are two double bedrooms, one ensuite, a twin-bedded room and bathroom/WC with over-bath shower. The Granary: We are now able to offer the self catering Granary which is fully equipped with every thing you need for a relaxing break in the country including a woodburner to relax by on those chilly winter evenings with a good book and bottle of wine.
The Granary sleeps 2 or 2+2 either as twin beds or a king size bed. There is also a sofa bed available in the lounge if required. We welcome one small/medium well behaved dog.
